CFIA recalls tea over Salmonella concerns

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not to consume two brands of tea because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The alert names Murchie’s Lemon Drop Tea and Co-op Gold’s Organic Pomegranate White Tea.

The products have been distributed in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario and may have been distributed nationally.

The agency says there are no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
