Rogers not dropping AMC

Rogers is aiming to clear the air after a report that it may be dropping a popular American television channel.
In a statement, AMC said it wanted to inform what it calls loyal viewers that the channel could be dropped if the two companies cannot come to a new deal.
AMC carries hugely popular shows like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and Mad Men on Rogers Cable in Canada.
Rogers says that’s not the case. In a statement of its own, Rogers says it has no intention of dropping the channel and is surprised and disappointed AMC is taking this action.
Negotiations between the companies continue and Rogers says it expects a positive outcome.
Rogers Cable television is not available in Alberta.
