Alberta Innovates – Health Solutions presents its last movie of the season Thursday night, wrapping up its “Science in the Cinema” series.
The free movie and popcorn night is designed to make science more approachable.
Danica Wolkow with the event says they’ll have an expert on hand to discuss the film, which is about tuberculosis.
“It’s going to be Dr. Bob Cowie, a professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary. He’ll introduce the film and then, following the movie, he’ll discuss tuberculosis research, the treatment strategy for vulnerable populations both in Canada and world wide,” says Wolkow.
The movie, called The Necessities of Life, starts at 6:30 Thursday night at the Globe Cinema, 617 – 8th Ave S.W.
