Mayor, CHBA to settle differences

The Calgary President of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association is hoping to see the group’s suspension from committees lifted after negotiations with the city’s mayor.
Charron Ungar and Mayor Naheed Nenshi had a falling-out in February after the mayor took offense to comments Ungar made about a “suburban development freeze” in the city.
The Mayor and the CHBA have prepared a joint statement about the issue.
Ungar is still standing by his statement, say it was taken out of context.
The organization was suspended from committee meetings for 11 days.
