CPS launch ‘The Hub’

Staying up to date about crimes in your community or other information from Calgary police is as easy as signing up for alerts.

The new communication system is called ‘The Hub‘.

Since 1993 it has been called the Police and Community Awareness Program (PCAP) and originally known as the Police and Community Telephone (PACT) and the only way to get the information was by voicemail.

Now you can sign up for emails and texts as well.

You can tailor make you profile to receive local information or everything CPS send out.

“We are committed to actively engaging citizens in crime prevention,” says Deputy Chief Trevor Daroux. “We know Calgarians are interested in receiving information about crime in their community, and these enhancements will help them receive it where and when it’s most convenient for them.”
