Brown found guilty in 2001 murder

A Calgary man has been convicted of first degree murder in the slaying of his friend’s estranged wife.
Corinne Belanger was shot to death in her home in the northeast community of Temple in 2001.
Then just last year, 52-year-old Barry David Brown was arrested in the case.
The crown argued Brown killed Belanger at the urging of her estranged husband.
He faces life in prison with no change of parole for 25 years.
His wife collapsed in her seat at the courthouse when the verdict was delivered.
