Multiple Monterey Park homes found with bullet holes

Monterey Park is the scene where bullet holes were found in multiple homes Saturday morning.
Police blocked off the area in the 7000 Block of California Boulevard N.E. where police believe the shooting happened.
Duty Inspector Steve Ellefson said they received the call just after 10:00 a.m. after a woman woke up and found the holes outside her house and she had no idea her home was hit overnight.
“She didn’t hear anything, there was one call last evening from another location nearby where they did report hearing a bang,” he said.
There are no reports of any injuries, but officers are now going door-to-door to ensure safety and looking for information.
Several homes and some businesses also suffered damage as a result of the bullets.
There is no word on when the road will reopen.
