Standoff in N.W. ends after six hours

Calgary police continue to investigate a domestic dispute call that turned into a lengthy standoff at a residence in Mount Pleasant.

The tactical unit was called in just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, when a man refused to leave a home on 19th Avenue and 8th Street N.W.

The man surrendered peacefully several hours later.
