Jarome Iginla, the former captain of the Calgary Flames, shared his thoughts on the trade to the Pittsburgh Penguins Thursday morning.
He began by thanking the fans and reflected on how it all began when he was traded here and played his first game on Theo Fleury’s line against the Blackhawks.
Iginla told the crowed room or reporters, he does not take the trade personally and wishes the Flames luck, adding he looks forward to playing with “the two best players in the world.”
Iggy says he would love to “get a crack” at the Stanley cup as well.
