Cirque du Soleil in Calgary

The big top tent has been set up at the Stampede grounds.

Performances of Cirque du Soleil’s newest show, Amaluna, begin April 10th and run through May 19th.

Company manager Jamie Reilly says Calgary continues to be a cultural hub, and a pivotal place for Cirque to visit.

The Calgary Herald reports the group has had more touring performances in this city than any other outside their home base in Montreal.

Reilly says the 120 cast members will take good advantage of their time here, and try to enjoy everything Calgary has to offer.
