Tennis anyone?

It is far from game, set and match.

But if alderman Gian-Carlo Carra gets his way, Tennis Alberta will get the go-ahead from the city to build an indoor tennis facility at the Acadia Athletic Park.

Carra is putting forth a motion Monday asking administration at City Hall to explore a proposal from the grass-roots tennis organization.  According to the Calgary Sun, it would include eight indoor courts, locker rooms and washroom facilities.

As part of the deal, Tennis Alberta would also assume responsibility for maintenance of the existing six outdoor courts at the park.

If a deal can be brokered between the organization and the city, the target date for completion would be 2015.
