Alberta man dies on dream vacation

A dream vacation has turned tragic for an Alberta couple, after a man was found dead in Costa Rica.
Kathalean and Curt Chase, from east of Edmonton, had been looking forward to a tropical vacation for years, but this wasn’t the trip they expected.
Kathalean says she was out for a swim on March 28 with her husband, when a wave pulled them back into the ocean.
He told her to swim and she thought he would follow her, but she made it to shore and he did not.
Curt’s body was found a week later by a pair of surfers.
