A new Angus Reid poll says support for Alberta’s Premier has been on a downward trajectory for months.
Back in December the approval rating of Alison Redford was at 47 per cent, in March it was down 18 points to 29 per cent.
The numbers show all of the opposition leaders in the province are better than Redford’s.
Wildrose Party leader Danielle Smith has the highest rating at 53 per cent, NDP leader Brain Mason has a 34 per cent approval rating, 34 per cent for the Liberals Raj Sherman.
The President of Think HQ Public Affairs Inc. Marc Henry tells 660News, support for Redford has been on the slide since last summer.
Henry says Redford needs something positive to happen over the summer, like the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline stateside to turn things around.
He says if support for the Premier remains weak the knives could come out when the party puts her leadership to a vote in the fall.
