Airport bus service to continue

The express bus shuttling passengers from downtown to the airport will keep running, as council waits to see if ridership goes up.

Last month, the general manager of Allied Limousine urged council to halt the service, calling it a waste of taxpayer money.

The Calgary Sun reports more than 1,000 people ride the route, but only 30 per cent get on at Calgary International Airport.

Manager of transit planning, Neil McKendrick, says he expects ridership to improve when 96th Avenue opens.
