The PC Leader’s annual Calgary dinner is taking place in Calgary on Thursday night.
Premier Alison Redford is on the hot seat, with mounting criticism about her government’s budget and plunging support in the polls for her leadership.
Speaking to reporters before the dinner Redford says this is just par for the course in the up and down game of politics.
“We know that through difficult times in Alberta that people are smart, people are critical thinkers,” says Redford. “They’re giving a lot of thought to what they think the future of this province should be. ” “We’re very committed to the path we have set, we think it is the right path.”
Redford has just returned from a trip to Washington on a pro-Keystone XL pipeline mission.
