Cops hunting cross-country robber

Police across the country are banding together to try and catch a man responsible for robbing at least 17 banks from Ottawa to Calgary.

York Regional Police in Ontario are offering a $20,000 reward for the thief, and launched a social media campaign Thursday.

Cops hope circulating pictures and security footage of the culprit may help track him down.

The National Post reports he earned his nickname “the Vaulter” for jumping over bank counters during his robberies.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 45 and 55-years-old, around 5′ 8″ to 5′ 10″ and 170-190 lbs.
