Construction on the Agrium Western Event Centre will be continuing throughout the 2013 Calgary Stampede.

But officials assure the Stampede won’t be affected by the work and they are already looking ahead to 2014.

Media Relations Manager Doug Fraser tells 660News the centre will open up a lot of opportunities to the Stampede grounds.

“I think we are going to see some events coming to Calgary, that have never been to Calgary, because they don’t have the indoor facility of this size.” He says.

Fraser says guests will still be able to enjoy all the midway rides and agriculture events they have in past years.
