A Calgary organization that helps families in crisis is holding a major fundraiser this weekend.
“Made by Momma” was established to help those in need who fall through the cracks.
President Allyson Palaschuk tells 660News, it doesn’t matter what their income is.
“We show up to their house with a freezer full of meals to get them through a few weeks and we’ll go back in a couple of weeks and replenish. We also do diapers and formula and clothing, household items, depending on what the needs of the family are. And we also do home visits. We have volunteers who will go into the home and help moms,” says Palaschuk.
The fundraiser is called the Springee Flingee with the Heebee-jeebees, Saturday, May 4th at the Lynx Ridge Golf Club.
