A vehicle at Marlborough Mall has been cordoned off and police think it may be connected to a suspicious package at the Calgary Court Centre that forced the building to be evacuated.
Around 9 am a man tried to get through court security when sheriffs noticed something suspicious in his bag that was being screened. His answers did not line up with questions asked so he was taken into custody.
Calgary Police were called in and the building was evacuated.
Wearing protective suits and using a bomb robot, police removed the bag from the building about four hours later.
Streets around the courts were closed and public transit in the area was shut down until around 2 pm.
Around one Wednesday afternoon police cordoned off a car in the parking lot at Marlborough Mall.
Investigators say it is possibly linked to the man being questioned about the suspicious package.
