Married couple denied bail in murder case

Cheers and applause in a Calgary courtroom Friday afternoon.

People in the gallery let their feelings be known when a judge denied bail to two people charged in the murder of young Calgary father Ryan Lane.

Sheena Cuthill Rempel and her husband Timothy Rempel will remain behind bars as they await trial on charges of first degree murder.  Tim’s brother, Wilhelm Rempel, is also accused in the case.

Ryan Lane’s body was found in a rural area near Beiseker, north of Calgary, late last year.

He went missing in February 2012.
