A warning is out from Parks Canada for those planning on heading out to enjoy the nice weather this weekend.
The warmer weather has raised the risk of avalanches to high in Banff, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks.
Officials are advising to stay in dry areas where not much snow pack has built up over the winter.
On highways, drivers should avoid stopping in posted avalanche zones.
Avalanches can happen on slopes as shallow as 15 degrees.
