Buddy has been at the Calgary Humane Society for some time.
The organization’s Christy Thompson says the two-year old hound-cross would make a great addition to anyone’s family.
She says having older children might be better because he tends to jump up sometimes but that could easily be dealt with through a little training.
Buddy, surrendered to the shelter when his owner had to move, has also undergone some surgery but is now good to go.
“He had knee surgery recently but he’s all recovered. He’s been exercising a lot. We’ve been putting him in the dog park with other dogs and letting them play around so he’s well on his way to being fully recovered,” says Thompson.
