The City of Calgary’s 3-1-1 service line has expanded to include a new app for Apple and Android users.
Complaints or issues sent in from your touch screen are expected to help the city assess, prioritize and respond in a more efficient way.
The app will allow users to report things like pot holes, or burnt out street lights.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi says it should make the city a better place.
“People should think of themselves as citizen superheroes when they report things. That they have the ability to use the devices in their pockets to make the city better for themselves and their neighbours,” explains Nenshi.
Users can attach photos and even use their GPS function to pinpoint an exact location when reporting issues.
