Rocky View County upgrades fire ban to level 3

Dry and windy conditions have led Rocky View County to upgrade their fire ban to level three which means all outdoor burnings are banned.

The district’s fire chief says the conditions for an open flame are too dangerous.

“We’re encouraging everyone to exercise due care and attention to any smoking materials or any burning matter at all.” she says.

All burning permits have been suspended until the fire chief’s office deems it safe.
