Officials are worried a new plan to limit suburban growth in Calgary will drive up home prices and lead to industry layoffs.
The city’s growth management strategy plans to limit the number of new suburban communities so that municipal officials will have enough infrastructure dollars to fix problems in existing areas.
The plan means many developers’ projects will be left on a wait list.
