Banff’s Cave and Basin re-opens for business

After a $13.8-million revitalization, visitors are welcome again at the Banff National Park Cave and Basin Historic Site.

The project was three years in the making, but Manager of Heritage Programs Susan Kennard tells 660News the end result is the ability to host great family friendly events and activities including one Sunday evening.

“We’re debuting stargazing on the boardwalks and pool decks, because the cave and basin is on that beautiful marsh habitat area with just enough trees and water. You’re just half-a-kilometre out of Banff where it’s nice and dark,” says Kennard.

She adds new amenities include a large four-screen high definition film which showcases Parks Canada from sea to sea to sea.
