A Calgary man has become the first person missing both arms to reach the top of Mount Everest without the use of prosthetics.
Sudarshan Gautam lost both his arms in a kite flying accident when he was a teenager in Nepal.
Since then, he’s taught himself to do everyday tasks with his feet, and has helped raise awareness and funds for people with disabilities.
Gautam posted a thank-you on his Facebook page Monday, writing “this is due to the inspiration of you, all the supporters,” adding he was very happy.
The Calgarian has also climbed Nepal’s Mount Yala.
