There are reports the 26-year-old man who died in Gleichen last weekend was on an online date when he was killed.
Tak Tai Lawrence Leung was found badly hurt along with a woman also suffering from injuries early Saturday morning just after 1 a.m.
The 20-year-old woman he was on a date with was treated in hospital and later released.
The RCMP says they were called to a disturbance at a home, just behind their detachment, to reports the two had been attacked.
Leung died while waiting for STARS Air Ambulance to arrive.
Originally from Chilliwack, B.C., investigators say he was not known to police.
One woman, Kristy Noel Redgun, an 18-year-old from Siksika Nation near Gleichen, has been charged with first degree murder.
The Calgary Sun reports a second woman, arrested Thursday, will also face murder charges in the slaying.
Police are not saying much about how Leung died, the injuries he received or what happened inside the house.
Words of sympathy can be seen on his Facebook page.
“I’m going to miss him so much,” writes a B.C. woman.
“I’m in shock. I’ll always remember you as the friend who had a love for cars. RIP bud,” says another man.
The attack isn’t believed to be random.
According to The Calgary Sun, a news conference with RCMP is expected Friday in Calgary.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
