Two motorcyclists have been rushed to hospital after being hit in the community of Thorncliffe in the city’s north.
The crash happened on Centre Street around 64th Avenue.
Duty Inspector Jim Stinson tells 660News, two motorcycles collided with a yellow Penske rental van.
“The rental van took off from the scene leaving the motorcyclists there,” says Stinson.
EMS Adam Loria says one person, a man in his 30’s, was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, while the second man was transported in stable, non-life condition.
The road was closed between 63rd and 64th Avenues on Centre Street for several hours for the investigation.
Police say there were several witnesses to the crash and have located the van and driver.
