Construction set for Stoney Trail interchange at Glenmore

Traffic through the southeast industrial zone will see a major change kick in at the end of the work week.

The interchange at Glenmore and 84th Street will be permanently closed after the Friday afternoon rush to make way for construction of the new Stoney Trail interchange at Glenmore.

Project manager Gary Lamb says the 15,000 motorists a day who use 84th will now have to go west to 52nd or east to 100th.

Construction on the interchange is expected to take about four months.
