Parks Canada has lifted a closure on the northern part of Banff after a close call with a cougar last week.
An investigation was launched after a man said he fought off the animal with a skateboard and another resident said they had seen a cougar attack a deer in town last Thursday.
Parks officials say wildlife specialists have scoured the area and found no evidence of the animal or any carcasses that would indicate it’s still in the area.
