21 year-old man in critical condition following rollover

A 21 year-old man is in hospital in critical condition this morning after rolling his vehicle in the city’s north end overnight.
Police say just before 12:30 a.m., witnesses reported a silver Camry being travelling at high speeds northbound on Stoney Trail near 96th Avenue.
The vehicle then lost control, slid into the median and rolled, throwing the man from the vehicle;
“Obviously with the male in this collision being thrown from his vehicle it’s likely that he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. you can never predict how many injuries can be prevented, certainly it would make a difference in a collision of this nature,” Mike Tillotson, Duty Inspector for the CPS explains.
The victim is being treated for life threatening head and internal injuries, no one else was in the vehicle.
The traffic unit is now investigating, and speed and alcohol are believed to be factors.
