Monday is Tax Freedom Day.
The occasion marks the time of year in which Canadian families have made enough money to pay off their total tax bill.
According to the Fraser Institute, it arrives two days later than it did in 2012.
A report blames the delay on governments across the country continuing to increase taxes in order to make up for overspending and deficits.
The average family in Canada will pay a total of $42,400 in taxes this year.
Albertans marked Tax Freedom Day back on May 19.
