Housing development near COP a go

A developer has been given the green light to build 73 homes on land south of Canada Olympic Park.
City council gave the project on the Paskapoo Slopes the thumbs up Monday, despite protests from slope preservationists.
The development will cover land between Patterson Blvd and 73rd St. S.W.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi and several aldermen were frustrated by the lack of consultation with an advisory committee.
The Calgary Herald reports, the plans won the support of the Patterson Community Association.
