Family and friends will gather Friday to remember the life of a University of Calgary track star.
A private celebration of life is being held today for Danielle Kendall, killed last week while climbing the Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador.
Kendall was hit by a large chunk of ice while ascending the volcano with a tour group.
The 22-year-old was set to graduate this week with a degree in engineering.
The Danielle Kendall Memorial Scholarship has now been set up in her name.
