Event looks to raise awareness on issues facing many women

You are not invisible.

That is the message from MPACT, a group looking to bring awareness to women who may feel invisible in our culture.

They are hosting an event downtown Saturday to bring awareness to various issues including domestic abuse, aging, and even eating disorders.

Connie Jakab, the artistic director of the Invisible Show tells 660News what they have planned.

“We’ve got a great lineup of dance, hip-hip, contemporary, spoken word, film and art. All just to convey a message of hope about women in our society who feel invisible,” said Jakab.

Doors open at the Theatre Junction Grand at 608 1st SW at 7:30pm Saturday.

Tickets are $25 at the door.
