Three Sisters development scrapped for now

The receiver in charge of Three Sisters Mountain Village is backing away from an area structure plan in Canmore.

PriceWaterhouseCoopers says instead of working on development, they want to instead focus on marketing and selling the 1,495 acre property.

Canmore Mayor John Borrowman tells The Calgary Herald he’s disappointed with the decision, and says it’s a waiting game to see what happens next in the area.

A lot of concerns were expressed about what effect the development would have on wildlife, and what kind of monitoring would have to take place.
