Schools closed on Friday due to flooding

Both the Calgary Board of Education and Calgary Catholic school districts have decided to close all schools in the city Friday.

This is an expansion of the earlier closure that included six CBE schools and three catholic schools.

The closures also includes the Catholic schools in Cochrane, Chestermere and Airdrie.

Also closed will be the Calgary Girls school.

The flooding and states of emergency have prompted the Foothills School Division to close their schools tomorrow in the communities of High River, Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Longview and Okotoks and rural schools in the Municipal District of Foothills.
