Long lineups for cash debit cards

Evacuees in Calgary are starting to get some provincial help with pre-loaded cash debit cards and as expected and the lineups were long.
Those with last names between the letters “A and L” can go to one of three locations until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, including Bowness High School, Queen Elizabeth High School and Connaught School.
Those with the last names between “M and Z” can get theirs Monday (Canada Day) at the same locations between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, anybody who qualifies can go between the same hours.
However, to qualify Calgarians must register with the Red Cross as an evacuee either online or by phone: 1-800-418-1111.
Adults can receive $1,250 while children under the age of 18 receive $500.
