Crash landing in Okotoks

A scary situation for some people in Okotoks as a plane crashed in Geneva Clark’s backyard.
It was just before 10 p.m. when Clark was awoken.
“To my understanding, the small aircraft was coming in for a landing in the Okotoks airstrip. Probably came in short, it hit the fence, skidded across and did a crash landing just before it hit the runway,” says Clark.
Reports indicate the pilot was transported to hospital as a per-caution; fortunately no one else was injured.
Clark adds it looks like the plane will be sitting there until the Transportation Safety Board can conduct their investigation.
