The downtown is going to look pretty different in a few years.
Telus has announced it is planning to build a 58-storey skyscraper called Telus Sky, where art central is currently on 7th Avenue S.W.
Andrea Goertz with the company said plans have been in the works since the beginning of the year.
“We have been working with partners Westbank and Allied, for approximately six months to come up with the ideas for the development,” Goertz said.
Goertz said the 750,000 square-feet building will drastically change the skyline, aimed at being environmentally friendly and technologically advanced.
Along with being an office building, there will also be residences and retail with a price tag of $400 million and a completion date of the fall of 2017.
