Parachuter hurt at Calgary Stampde

A SkyHawks parachuter at the Calgary Stampede has been taken to hospital by ambulance after a hard landing.
The incident happened just before the afternoon rodeo events were about to start Sunday.
Chelsie Small with EMS says they were called to assist.
“A male in his approximate 30’s was transported to hospital in serious potentially life-threatening condition.” says Small.
A spokesperson with the SkyHawks tells 660News the injured man was in good spirits and joking with EMS members as they attended to him.
The rodeo started as scheduled.
