Staged escorted visits in two heavily flooded High River communities

More High River residents are returning back to their town Tuesday.
After an official assessment, 42 units in The Willows were deemed safe and residents will be able to check them out after 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency operations officials say they will contact all other residents to set up an appointment for an escorted visit to their homes.
All residents from both the Hamptons and Wallaceville whose phone numbers are not registered are being asked to contact the High River Welcome Centre or the Emergency Operations Centre at 403-652-6930, to set up an appointment with a Special Operations Team member.
The EOC’s Nancy Beasly Hosker says Two Special Operations Teams from the County of Strathcona arrived in the town on Monday.
They began assessing the structural integrity of homes in the Wallaceville and Hamptons areas which remain under an evacuation order.
