Earthquakes impact fracking wells

A new study shows earthquakes thousands of miles away can have a negative impact on fracking wells.

According to scientists, powerful earthquakes can trigger swarms of minor quakes near wastewater injection wells.

The study, published in the journal Science, explains the discovery makes hydraulic fracking even more controversial.

According to The Calgary Sun, scientists have linked the process to an increase in small and moderate quakes in several U.S. states.
