Prostitution charges laid against man in forcible confinement case

A Calgary man accused of keeping a woman captive for three weeks is now facing human trafficking charges.

Troy Jordan Lemke was arrested last week after a woman claimed she was held against her will at a home in Skyview Ranch.

Lemke was initially charged with various offenses including sexual assault and forcible confinement.

Three new charges have now been laid including human trafficking, keeping a common bawdy house, and receiving a material benefit from human trafficking.

A prosecutor is looking to have Lemke’s bail on outstanding charges revoked in light of new accusations against him.
