City officials say Calgary still isn’t running up to 100 per cent but they are working hard to recover from June’s floods.
The initial estimate to repair the city was $256-Million and the director of recovery operations Gordon Stewart says that number is not likely to go down. “We’re going forward to see what the rules around the funding are going to be” Stewart says.
Stewart says there’s still a lot of work to be done to get Calgary’s water and sewer, roadways, pathways, and recreation facilities back in shape.
Calgary officials say they will be working closely with the province on their flood maps to make sure they are accurate and giving Calgarians a fair shake.
