Powers, wife to be remembered Thursday

A celebration of life will be held Thursday for legendary sports broadcaster Bill Powers and his wife Donna Lee.

The memorial will be held at McMahon Stadium’s Red and White Club at 2 p.m.

The couple will also be honoured during Saturday’s Stampeders game against the Montreal Alouettes.

A special plaque is being placed at Bill Powers’ position in the press box at McMahon.

The couple was found dead in their Braeside home on July 4th.

Thirty-five-year-old Derek Puffer, Donna Lee’s son, is charged with two counts of second degree murder.
