Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo MLA Mike Allen is now charged with soliciting prostitution in a public place while in Minnesota.
Allen was arrested Monday night and has since left the Conservative caucus, yet he still holds his seat in the Legislature.
If found guilty, he could be fined up to $3,000 or face up to one year in jail.
Sara Grewing, City Attorney in St. Paul, Minnesota, tells 660News the arrest was a part of a routine sweep.
“We place ads online. In this particular case, the defendant contacted the undercover officer in response to her ad, asked to schedule an appointment, explained the varying cost, the amount of time, and the number of available women,” says Grewing.
It’s alleged Allen offered $200 for two different women and was arrested by an undercover officer.
