Work on the Memorial Drive bridge over Deerfoot Trail begins Friday.
Workers will be on site 24-hours-a-day to replace the existing surface and top portion of the bridge deck.
During construction, the existing four eastbound lanes will be down to two lanes across the bridge, and vehicles exiting to southbound Deerfoot will be separated from the rest of traffic.
The project is costing Alberta Transportation $2-mililon and is expected to increase the bridge’s lifespan by 30 years.
Travelers are reminded to drive with caution and obey the directions of all flag persons.
