Remains identified as missing Calgary woman

RCMP say remains found near Strathmore in mid-May have been identified as those of a woman reported missing to Calgary Police nearly seven years ago.

35-year-old  Maria Rosa Ciciolla was last seen in July 2006 at a corner in southeast Calgary and was finally reported missing to police in November that year.

Police say the woman, who came to Calgary from Montreal in 1997, had lived a high-risk lifestyle which left her vulnerable to exploitation by others.

They are now trying to piece together the woman’s whereabouts before her dissappearance and eventual death.
